MATCH REPORT

Sorry for the lateness of my match report... but the sun has been shining, the birds have been singing, and the DIY whip has been cracked at chez Hall... thankfully, I've managed to file my way through the prison bars, evaded the burly DIY prison wardens, crawled beneath the barbed wire fence... just to find a PC in order to write this match report for you beautiful lot... I hope you appreciate it!

Well the day couldn’t have started any worse.  Five minutes before the first ball is due to be bowled and Winchmore Hill have 5 players – and no umpire!  To make matters worse our Captain had won the toss and decided to field (a good decision under normal circumstances but making things slightly uncomfortable with less than half a team).
Fortunately Holyport agreed to help out with the umpire situation and with a slightly delayed start the remaining Winchmorian’s trickled in.

Winchmore Hill had a successful start to the 2008 nPower Village Knockout competition beating Lacey Green.  The next round of the Cup takes place this weekend (Sunday 4 May) against Cublington at Home.   To see how the other teams in our pool got on be sure to download the updated fixture list from the Download Document section.
